Controlled-Torque Cap Tightening
ZONESUN chuck cappers grip the closure from above and apply controlled torque for consistent tightening. Choose manual, pneumatic, servo and automatic models for screw caps, dropper bottles and twist-off jar lids.
Chuck capping machines use a fitted capping head to grip the closure from above and rotate it with controlled torque. They are suitable for small bottles, essential oil containers, dropper bottles, reagent containers, food jars and other packaging applications.
Adjustable tightening force helps secure the closure while reducing loose caps, overtightening and damage to the cap or container.
Different chuck inserts can be selected according to the cap diameter, shape, material and required gripping force.
Choose manual, pneumatic, semi-automatic, servo-driven or fully automatic models for different production requirements.
Confirm the cap diameter, cap height, bottle dimensions, closure material and required production speed. For accurate machine selection, also provide samples or clear drawings of the bottle and cap.
Select a chuck insert that can grip the closure securely without marking or deforming it. Servo models are useful when repeatable torque adjustment is important, while pneumatic and manual models are practical for smaller production runs.
| Capping Type | How It Works | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Chuck Capping | A fitted head grips and rotates the cap from above | Small caps, controlled torque and positioned bottles |
| Spindle Capping | Multiple side wheels progressively tighten the cap | Continuous conveyor production and standard screw caps |
| Vacuum Capping | Air is removed before a twist-off lid is tightened | Food jars requiring reduced internal pressure |
Chuck cappers can handle many screw caps, dropper caps and twist-off lids. The chuck head must match the cap diameter, shape and gripping requirements.
Caps with similar dimensions may share one chuck, but significantly different diameters or shapes normally require interchangeable chuck inserts.
Provide the bottle and cap dimensions, closure material, required production speed, power supply and whether automatic cap feeding is needed.
