Different inspection tasks require different technologies.
Define the target defect first, then evaluate the system
using representative products, packaging and line conditions.
ZONESUN can help configure individual inspection stations
or combinations for your packaging process.
01
Metal & Foreign Objects
Evaluate a metal detector or X-ray system for your
target contaminant and package. Confirm detection
performance with agreed test samples rather than
assuming one technology detects every foreign material.
Explore ZS-MD60 X-ray Inspection →
02
Weight Verification & Sorting
Check package weight against defined limits or sort
products into weight bands. Specify the complete
package weight, required tolerance, dimensions,
item spacing and production throughput.
Explore ZS-MD1010 Checkweigher →
03
Caps, Codes & Visible Defects
Evaluate camera-based checks for defined cap, code
or visible bottle defects. Provide acceptable and
defective samples so lighting, camera views and
rejection rules can be assessed.
Explore ZS-MD3 Cap & OCR Inspection →
04
Bottle & Can Fill Levels
Evaluate visual or X-ray level inspection according
to container transparency, packaging material and
product properties. Define the acceptable fill-level
range and required production speed.
Explore ZS-FA3012 Level Inspection →
05
Foil Seal Inspection
Evaluate inspection for your foil, closure and
sealing process. Define whether the task concerns
foil presence or a specified thermal indication,
and agree on the seal defects to be tested.
Explore ZS-MD50 Thermal Inspection →
06
Container Vacuum Inspection
Evaluate online vacuum detection for compatible
bottles and cans. Confirm closure construction,
process conditions and acceptance criteria.
A vacuum check is not a universal leak test.

Configure Inspection Around Your Production Line
Share the following information to define an inspection
station, rejection method and integration scope.
-
Product & Package
Contents, packaging material, dimensions and weight.
-
Target Defect
Defect examples, test pieces and acceptance limits.
-
Production Speed
Products per minute, conveyor speed and item spacing.
-
Conveyor Layout
Height, width, direction and available installation space.
-
Reject Handling
Reject mechanism, collection space and line-stop requirements.
-
Testing & Records
Sample trials, result records and control-system connections.
Additional quality-control equipment:
This collection also includes optical color sorters
and a flip-cap life tester. Color sorting addresses
bulk-product separation; cap life testing evaluates
repeated opening and closing. These serve different
tasks from inspecting finished packages inline.
Validate your application:
Confirm detection limits, false-reject criteria and
rejection performance using representative samples
under the intended operating conditions.
Capabilities depend on the selected equipment
and configuration.
Inspection Selection Questions
Can one machine inspect weight, caps and foreign objects?
These tasks may require separate inspection stations
or a specifically configured combination system.
Define each requirement and confirm which functions
the proposed equipment includes.
Does foil seal inspection prove that a package is leak-free?
A foil-presence or thermal check does not by itself
prove complete leak tightness. Define seal defects
and leak acceptance criteria separately, then select
and validate the appropriate test method.
Can defective products be removed automatically?
Automatic rejection depends on the selected model
and line configuration. Confirm product stability,
spacing, reject timing, collection arrangements
and the required response to a failed rejection.
Can inspection equipment connect to an existing line?
Integration should be evaluated against conveyor
dimensions, production speed, product transfer,
available space, utilities and control interfaces.
