Quality Testing of the ZS-FAL180YT Dropper Bottle Filling and Capping Line
Before shipment, ZONESUN conducted a factory acceptance test of a customized ZS-FAL180YT production line using the customer's packaging materials. The project was configured for 100 ml dropper bottles with a target production speed of 60 bottles per minute.
Test overview: The inspection covered the complete packaging process, including liquid filling, automatic dropper feeding, dropper positioning, cap feeding, cap tightening and bottle labeling. Filling accuracy, operating speed, assembly quality, labeling accuracy, continuous-running stability and machine safety were checked before shipment.
1. Customer Packaging Requirements
The customer required an automated line capable of handling 100 ml dropper bottles while maintaining stable bottle transfer and consistent packaging quality at a target speed of 60 bottles per minute.
The machine configuration was selected according to the customer's bottle, dropper, screw cap and self-adhesive label. The complete workflow included filling, dropper feeding, dropper positioning and pressing, cap tightening, and automatic labeling.
2. Test Preparation with Customer Samples
Using the customer's actual packaging components is an important part of pre-shipment testing. Differences in bottle diameter, bottle height, neck dimensions, dropper structure, cap thread and label material can affect machine settings and final packaging quality.
Before starting the formal test, our engineers checked the supplied bottles, droppers, caps and labels. The guide rails, positioning parts, vibrating feeding bowls, filling parameters, capping mechanism and labeling sensors were then adjusted to match these samples.
3. Factory Acceptance Test Items
Filling Accuracy and Dosing Stability
Multiple filled bottles were sampled during the test to check whether the filling volume remained consistent at the specified 100 ml setting. The inspection also checked for dripping, splashing, foaming and contamination around the bottle opening.
Operating Speed
The production line was tested under continuous operating conditions with a target output of 60 bottles per minute. Engineers observed whether bottle feeding, filling, dropper placement, capping and labeling remained synchronized as the operating speed increased.
Dropper Feeding and Positioning
The dropper feeding system was inspected for orientation consistency and stable transfer. Each dropper needed to enter the bottle opening correctly and remain properly positioned before pressing and capping.
Capping Stability and Sealing Quality
Finished bottles were checked for correctly fitted droppers, aligned caps and consistent tightening. The test also looked for loose caps, tilted caps, damaged threads and surface damage caused by excessive tightening force.
Labeling Accuracy
Label position, adhesion and application quality were inspected on completed bottles. Our engineers checked for visible skewing, wrinkles, bubbles and inconsistent starting or ending positions.
Continuous Operation and Safety Inspection
The machine was operated continuously to identify possible bottle jams, missed components, unstable sensors or interruptions between workstations. Emergency stops, protective components, electrical connections and moving mechanisms were also checked before shipment.
- Filling-volume consistency and nozzle performance
- Production output under continuous operating conditions
- Stable dropper feeding, positioning and pressing
- Cap alignment, tightening consistency and sealing quality
- Label position, adhesion and finished appearance
- Sensor response, emergency stops and operational safety
4. Test Results
After fine-tuning the operating parameters, the production line was tested with the customer's 100 ml bottle samples. The results were recorded and reviewed against the agreed project requirements. The table below summarizes the results included in this article. Quantitative filling and labeling tolerances, measured production output, and continuous test duration are not listed here.
| Test Item | Customer Requirement | Recorded Result | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Filling volume | 100 ml | 100 ml | Passed |
| Dropper placement | Correct feeding and stable positioning | Droppers were correctly fed, positioned and pressed | Passed |
| Capping quality | Aligned caps with stable tightening | No loose, visibly tilted or damaged caps were observed | Passed |
| Safety inspection | Controls and safety functions operating correctly | Emergency stops, sensors and operating controls were checked | Passed |
5. Customer Confirmation Before Shipment
After the test was completed, photos and operating videos were prepared for the customer's review. This allowed the customer to verify the complete packaging process and finished-bottle quality before shipment.
Following approval, the machine was cleaned and inspected again. Adjustable parts were secured, vulnerable components were protected, and the equipment was packed in export-standard wooden cases with internal reinforcement to reduce movement during transportation.
Why Pre-Shipment Testing Matters
A successful packaging line depends on more than the individual machines. Bottles, droppers, caps, labels, sensors and transfer mechanisms must work together as one synchronized system. Testing with the customer's actual packaging materials helps identify compatibility issues before the machine leaves the factory.
For customized projects, ZONESUN can evaluate bottle samples and production requirements before proposing a machine configuration. Testing videos and finished samples can also be provided for customer confirmation before shipment.
